Fig Tree Independent School
Greensleeves has an onsite primary school, providing quality and rounded education to our own children and private children from the surrounding farms, villages and townships.
How our school works
Grade PR - 7 7:30am - 2pm 70 Students
From Grade R to Grade 11 we have a team of excellent and experienced teachers who have classes of no more than 10 students each.
Many of the children at our school come from difficult pasts after being abandoned, abused or orphaned. For these children to overcome and thrive we believe a quality education, tailored to their individual needs is essential.
We have an established curriculum matched with one-to-one lessons where we can work to strengthen key skills and the children can feel valued, understood and encouraged.
CHANGING REAL LIVES
“Johan* is 14, he arrived at Greensleeves 8 years ago after being removed from his family for safety reasons, unable to read or write. Through his time living at Greensleeves and attending or on site school he his now in Grade 8 at a local high school, confidently able to read and write; achieving 91% in his last Maths report. Johan is growing into a confident and motivated young man who is now equipped to achieve, and able to realise his full potential.”

How can you help?
We receive no government funding and can only continue to educate our children with the help of people like you
It costs us R12,000 ($835) to educate one child for a year. This includes a dedicated teacher, books, stationery, a morning snack (it is hard to teach hungry tummies!), school trips and any required one-to-one lessons.
